COURSES:

*Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy

*Fire Chaplains in Special Ops Scenes

The modern fire service is tasked with the need to perform at high levels in many roles.  Firefighters no longer only fight fires and respond to medical emergencies.  In many communities departments have formed Special Operations teams who are tasked with water rescue, high angle rescue, and hazardous materials response amongst others.  So what should the Fire Department Chaplain expect to encounter if asked to respond to one of these low frequency high risk scenes?  What stressors are the responders feeling?  This class will put you, the Chaplain, in the responders boots as you will be able to experience the stress of a water rescue, the physical exertion of a Level A Hazardous Materials Response, and the attention to minute details necessary to execute a rope rescue using a stokes basket.
