To become a member, please follow the steps below. If you have questions, contact the FFC office at (469) 955-1522

1. FFC Membership Application

  • Click HERE to open an application form. (if you need adobe reader click link to the right)
  • Print the Form
  • Fill in all blanks on form.
  • Please Note: To submit documentation please follow the instructions below.
  • If you would like to process this online, please scroll to bottom of this page and enter your email address and click Next (lower right).

2. Get a "Letter of Appointment" from your fire department.

  • Have your fire department or sponsoring agency write a brief letter on department letterhead that acknowledges your role as department chaplain. We need to know you are actually connected to a fire department or emergency response agency.
  • SAVE a copy of your Letter of Appointment to your computer.

3. Get  a "Letter of Endorsement from your ecclesiastical body.

  • The letter of endorsement is a statement from your religious denomination, order, church, or other body which confirms their endorsement of your role as a fire chaplain. FFC does not endorse individuals as chaplains, that should be done by someone who knows you and agrees that you are fit for this type of ministry. Note that this is not the same thing as ordination, only an endorsement.
  • SAVE a copy of your Letter of Endorsement to your computer.

4. Take the FFC Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy

  • A copy of your FFC issued Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy certificate.
  • Obtaining a certificate is accomplished by taking the Essentials of Fire Chaplaincy course from an approved FFC instructor. To find a scheduled class, check in the Events section of our website or contacting the FFC Office.

5. Mail all documents to:

  • Federation of Fire Chaplains
    PO Box 567748, Dallas, TX 75356
      
  • Include a check to Federation of Fire Chaplains for $125.00

OR

  • You may scan and e-mail documentation to FFC by clicking HERE  Please scan and attach documentation to link above (ffc.chaplain@gmail.com) You can pay online by clicking "NEXT" below and follow the links.

PLEASE ALLOW 3-4 WEEKS FOR PROCESSING

AFTER WE RECEIVE ALL DOCUMENTS & PAYMENT.

    NOTE: We process payments through PayPal, but you DO NOT need a PayPal account.
    You can pay directly by credit card by choosing  "Do not have a PayPal Account" or "Pay with Credit Card".
